Vintage Afghan Amulet Box

All through the Islamic world ( as well in the Jews of the East and Indians ) Amulet Box pendants are very common, The one for sale here is a very old and elaborate piece that comes from Afghanistan . The colored glass set in it identifies it distinctly as Afghani.The quality of the silver work is top notch. as a rule these sort of pieces were used to house blessings or prayers, in this case the piece does not open although i suspect that if you try hard enough it will.it is a figurative box of protection. In excellent condition with all the pieces intact.
